ABOUT ME
Seeing Life Through a Lens. For as long as I can remember, photography has been a constant in my life. I was born into a family of photographers, which meant I always had access to cameras, film, and darkrooms or labs to print my work. Growing up in New York City, my only access to nature was Central Park. If I wasn't there, I was exploring the Natural History Museum or the unique architecture and cultural experiences throughout the city. In 2000, I moved to Kansas City, MO where I discovered real nature, a husband, and a quiet I’d never known before. As our family grew, my appreciation for nature and civic responsibility intensified. Our travels took us to National Parks, Civil Rights Museums, and the nation's most breathtaking—and heartbreaking—places. I have traveled to Washington, D.C. to meet with Representatives on behalf of public education, served in public office as a school board member, and volunteered with local organizations addressing youth and food insecurity. My voice has taken many forms, but I hope by sharing the way I see life through my lens, people may be moved to protect this crazy planet for generations to come.
